MORGAN MYLES

Morgan Myles

Singer, Songwriter, Artist, Truth Teller

Morgan Myles is not shy about the path it took to get here–here being a recent third place finish on NBC’s The Voice, 30+ Million views on YouTube, and an extraordinary standing ovation at her Grand Ole Opry Debut. To call her a Rising Star wouldn’t be wrong. But it wouldn’t be the full story. Because Morgan Myles–the Nashville powerhouse with a five-octave range that shifts easily from sultry-sweet to Janis Joplin cold steel and rasp–is not just another country singer. She’s an artist, a truth-teller, a real-life woman of experience and grace who channels into her songs all the pain, triumph, love, sweat, and tears that it took to break free of the box the world kept trying to put her in.“It took me 17 years to get the Opry. And I’m not ashamed of the fact that it was hard. I’m not afraid to tell the backside of what went into, now, being grateful,” says Myles.“Because the truth is, when you see somebody that’s done the work to figure out who she is as an artist, there’s a whole new level of authenticity and respect there. And that’s a huge part of how I connect with an audience.”A multi-instrumentalist and prolific touring artist, she’s opened for country stars as big as Luke Bryan, Jake Owen, and Kane Brown, clocking over a hundred shows a year across the United States. Her previous releases–including her 2020 debut LPTherapy, produced by Jason Materand Cory Crowder (Morgan Wallen, Florida Georgia Line)–have garnered attention from Billboard, American Songwriter, Rolling Stone, and CMT. Morgan can sing anything–and sing it, she will. It’s new heights of authentic artistic expression that she’s now reaching that have propelled her to the place she is now. Finally with the wind at her back and a new record deal with KZZ Music/Blue Élan Records that she’s proud to call “the most artist-friendly deal she’s ever seen,” Myles is primed to release a string of new music over the next year that pushes into a more grounded artistic territory. And while there will always be a lilt of that southern drawl in her voice, her music refuses easy qualifications, equal parts country, rock, soul, and Americana–as much an acolyte of CaroleKing & Bonnie Rait as she is the Country Queens of the Opry stage.“Morgan is country, and she always has been,” says pop sensation Camila Cabello, “but she always been her own unique, versatile expression of country. People love her because she is authentic, she’s vulnerable.”

Her music is real. It’s uplifting in its authenticity, unafraid to tell the full story. It’s full of big melodies and belting hooks, soaring organ, and powerful modern production—but also the quiet moments, the pain and the honesty emanating out of a voice suddenly frail, caring, at its limit but, most impressively, still in complete control. Hers are story songs. They’re songs for singing in the shower and crying at the end of a long day. And more than anything, they’re songs meant for connection. And with the stage set, Myles is primed to turn this recent success into the kind of career that can make an impact on everyday lives because, after all, that’s why she’s here.“For me, music is therapy. And I know that when I’m at my best, that’s what I’m doing for audiences, too: I’m sharing and connecting and we’re all healing together.” Myles recently has been named the National Spokeswoman for The Glioblastoma Foundation—an honor bestowed on her after a moving performance on The Voice of Lady Gaga’s “Always Remember Us This Way.” She dedicated that performance to her cousin and grandfather, who both passed from the disease. Myles always sees her life in music beyond just the stars and stages. It’s the people, the connections, the stories shared, and the tears, of struggle and relief shed together. Her first release for KZZ Music/Blue Élan Records, “Vertigo,” is due August 8th, with plenty more music in the weeks to come, all culminating in a new LP in 2024.
